   Town Marshal William Cox suffered a fatal heart attack after arresting a man causing a disturbance.

   He had been called to a tavern for a man causing a disturbance and placed him under arrest. While walking with the suspect toward the office of the justice of the peace, he suffered a fatal heart attack and died.

   Town Marshal Cox was survived by his wife, two sons, eight daughters, brother, sister and two grandchildren.
