   Sergeant George Campbell suffered a fatal heart attack while arresting a truck driver who attempted to pass the weigh station near Putnamville.

   As he exited his vehicle to conduct the traffic stop one half-mile east of the weigh station, he collapsed. He was taken to Putnam County Hospital where he died.

   Sergeant Campbell, from Brazil, was assigned to the Putnamville post. He was survived by his wife, two daughters, son, mother, two sisters and two brothers.
