   Officer Frank McKinsey died from wounds he suffered the previous day while attempting to arrest two robbery suspects.

   While placing the first suspect under arrest at the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad depot, Officer McKinsey was shot three times and died from his wounds the following day.

   The suspects fled the scene and were never apprehended. They were suspected of killing Sellersburg Town Marshal John Harris the previous day.

   Officer McKinsey was survived by his wife, two children, three brothers, two sisters and mother.
