   Town Marshal Louis Beam died from injuries he suffered two days earlier in a morning ATV accident while working a security detail.

   He was providing traffic control for an annual charity event when his ATV rear-ended the ATV of another officer.

   He suffered serious injuries, including a fractured skull and his wife, who was a passenger, was also seriously injured. They were airlifted to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis where he died two days later from his injuries.

   Town Marshal Beam had previously served with the Homecroft Police Department. He was survived by his wife, two sons, stepson, three stepdaughters, brother, two sisters, 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
